Lata Makau, Kuala Kubu Bharu

One day, Fiza pun kena pergi jugak ni. Lama tak hiking ni.

Kawasan kat Lata Makau pun bersih je. Mungkin sebab kurang pengunjung yang datang sini kecuali geng geng hiker dan geng geng picnic.

cantik airnya. Rugi kalau sampai sini tak mandi, cecah kaki pun jadi lah kan.

Memang puas kalau dapat jejak kaki di Lata Makau ni. Rupanya banyak lagi tempat yang menarik yang ramai orang tak tahu. Lepas ni bolehlah plan ke sini pulak kan.

Story:
Sungai Luit is a small river located near Pertak dam, one of its attractions is Lata Makau, a powerful waterfall accessible within a 2 or 3-hour hike.
Tips
Overview:

Sungai Luit is a river located in Kuala Kubu Bharu district, it flows through Kampung Pertak and toward Pertak dam which impounds water from Sungai Selangor.
How to get there:
From Kuala Lumpur, drive along the Road 1 (direction Rawang then Kuala Kubu Bharu), you will have to leave this road to take Road 55 which leads to Bukit Fraser (Fraser Hill). Across this road, there is the Pertak dam, when you are about to leave it, after a brigde, a discreet sign indicate to turn right for Kampung Pertak, take this road and drive to its end to find the start of the trail.
Tips:
- The last part to reach Lata Makau requires a river hike which is not advisable if the current is strong (a day after heavy rain).
Points of interest:
- While driving, before reaching Kampung Pertak, you will drive around Pertak dam, a beautiful artificial lake made on Sungai Selangor. There is a place suitable to stop along the road, it is appropriate for pictures.
- Lata Jebus is a small waterfall situated near the starting point, it only takes half an hour hike to reach the pool. There is a small beach to ease the access and the pool is big enough for swimming.
- There are few other pools located along the river including the one which is located just below the place where the second picture was taken.
Trail description:
It starts like the hike for Bukit Kutu with two bridges to cross, after the second bridge, take left and follow the trail leaving the river on your left. At the junction shown on the map, take left. The right trail leads to Lata Medang. The trail will approximately follow the river and ends up before reaching Lata Makau. From that point, hiking the river for the remaining 2 or 300 meters is required, this is the hard part of the hike.
Difficulty: 3/5
Duration: ~3 hours (one way)

  3. semalam saya ke LATA MAKAU guna google maps. huhu, ikut GOOGLE MAPS punya arahan, kami sampai ke tengah tengah hutan, kawasan ladang sawit.
tanya penduduk sekitar sana, xde sorang pun pernah dengar LATA MAKAU.
haha, last, kami patah balik, pergi ke SERENDAH WATERFALL jer.

pengajaran di sini ialah, dapatkan betul2 lokasi ke sana dan pastikan.
